About Us. Cycling performance and comfort may be affected by muscle strength and flexibility imbalances, along with biomechanical factors that contribute to pain and injury. To complement Cronometro’s expert bike fit services, Physical Therapists Heather Stokes and Stacey Brickson are working to fit your body.

 DSC_4342Heather Hartwig Stokes, MSPT, CSCS holds a degree in Aerospace Engineering from University of Colorado Boulder and a Master of Science degree in Physical Therapy from the University of Miami. A Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist, Heather has extensive manual training through the Institute of Physical Art and the Barral Institute. She has been certified in Active Release Technique (ART) and Pilates. Heather enjoys cycling and skiing, completing numerous American Birkebeiners and is a former Barefoot Nationals Champion (Waunakee Physical Therapy, LLC DBA CronoPT).

staceyStacey Brickson, PhD, PT, ATC, CSCS earned her doctorate from the University of Wisconsin Madison in Exercise Physiology. Her research interests are skeletal muscle injury and inflammation, including the use of stem cells to promote regeneration. She has extensive clinical experience in sports medicine, including Athletic Training with the Badgers, is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist and Level 2 USA Cycling Coach. Stacey has taught in the Physical Therapy Program at the UW for 7 years. For fun, she enjoys teaching indoor cycling at CXC, cycling of all sorts, cross country skiing and is a 6-time Ironman finisher (BrickO’s Drafters DBA CronoPT).

Clinic appointments with Heather are available on Friday and with Stacey on Wednesday 8-12. Our online scheduling system can be accessed below. For appointments on other days and times, please email the PT.
