T he model that started it all, the Z1 sets the standard at PARLEE for our commitment to build each customer a bike that delivers an exceptional experience whether you are on back roads, in a tight crit, a climb in the mountains, or a stage race. As a bike that excels on every type of terrain, it is the one bike you will want to keep forever. Fusing sublime style and graceful lines with modern materials and unmatched customization options, the Z1 is the pinnacle of bicycle building. No other frame takes as much time and skill to build. No other carbon frame looks this timeless or rides this beautifully.
Z4
The bicycle industry is awash in cookie-cutter sub-1000 gram stock carbon frames. What used to be a rarity is now available in almost any bike shop. Don’t get us wrong, we like light bikes. We were building 850-gram carbon framesets when most manufacturers were still clinging to titanium and aluminum as the “ultimate” road frame material. It is not difficult to build light, stiff carbon frames. However, the challenge is to build light, stiff frames that ride smoothly and can be counted on to last more than a season or two. Designed from day one to be supremely comfortable and fast, the Z4 is our vision of what a stock carbon fiber frameset should be. Light. Smooth. Pretty. Durable. Efficient. Comfortable. Lively. Race ready from the go.
Z5
Our next generation frameset, the Z5, is one of the lightest frames ever built, yet still possesses the famous acceleration, lively road feel, and comfort that is the hallmark of a PARLEE. The Z5 combines the best qualities of the Z1 and Z4 using our latest molding techniques perfected in the TT without sacrificing performance, comfort or durability.
TT
The goal with Parlee’s TT design was simple. Create the best performing bike for individual efforts against the clock. You might expect that given their background in developing NACA-based low-drag sections, they would be speaking endlessly about the aerodynamic qualities of this design. Well, they could, it is fast in theoretical situations (i.e. by itself in a wind tunnel) but no race is won by a bare frame in a wind tunnel. Maximum performance depends on a unique blend of fit, ride quality, efficiency and aerodynamics. If an athlete can’t be in the ideal position where comfort and power are maximized and road shock is minimized, then all the aero tricks in the world won’t make you faster.
CX
Bringing the performance and durability of PARLEE’s road bikes to the dirt, the CX is the perfect cyclocross machine. The CX is feathery light, sucks up the terrain and dives into tight corners with the flick of a wrist. Like its road counterparts, the CX’s carbon fiber construction make it the perfect blend of forgiveness and rigidity, making it adept at racing or linking together miles of back country roads. Wishbone mono-stay eliminates seat stay flex under braking. Ample tire clearance makes it perfect in all conditions from the dry hardpack of September to the muddy slop of November. With its light weight and top mounted cable stays, shouldering is literally a breeze.
Tour/Commute
The TOUR is the ultimate touring or commuter bike. The TOUR is built on the same platform as our race bikes but with more relaxed geometry and customization options to accommodate multiple water bottles, fenders and panniers. Although comfort is king here, you’ll find the TOUR to respond quickly underfoot and handle with the grace of a race bike. If your planning an assault on the back roads of Vermont or simply looking for a great commuter bike this is the bike for you.
