Cronometro during COVID-19

As we look ahead to what this winter and the following spring have in store regarding the COVID-19 pandemic, and how the pandemic has already impacted our store, we’ve decided to further tweak how we operate. If you’ve been in the store this season, you’ve no doubt seen Colin, Paul and me wearing masks, requiring customers to do the same, and sanitizing our hands; for the summer and fall months and with regard to our light foot traffic, that seemed adequate.

Proceeding into this winter and with cases locally and nationally already rising steeply, we’re taking a few additional measures. We now prefer to return bikes we’ve serviced outdoors, with details being exchanged over the phone or via email. When dropping off a bike for service, continue to bring it in the shop.

We’re also happy to connect and converse via FaceTime, by appointment, where appropriate. For example, if you want to pick our brains regarding components for a new bike build, we’re happy to set up a time for a virtual meeting (contact info).

Our Biodynamic Fittings will continue to be performed in a large room while wearing masks, and additional precautions may be employed as the situation evolves this winter.

We at Cronometro are going to make every effort to protect our customers, ourselves and our community from COVID-19 this winter, and it already appears like those measures will be sorely needed. We will continue providing fit, repair, consultation and custom build services with additional precautions, either until we feel we can no longer do so safely and responsibly, or such precautions are no longer necessary.

Thanks for sticking with us while we stay safe together, at a safe distance.
